Meyer Sound Gets On with the Show at USITT

Meyer Sound renews its longstanding commitment to serving theater sound professionals at this year’s USITT Annual Conference and Stage Expo in Long Beach. Meyer Sound personnel will be on hand, armed with Meyer Sound MAPP Online software, to demonstrate how easily the precise response of premium quality, self-powered loudspeakers can be predicted in any theatrical application.

Featured on the booth will be the UPJ-1P compact VariO loudspeaker, winner of Entertainment Design magazine’s 2004 EDDY Award for Sound Product of the Year. The UPJ-1Ps rotatable horn and various mounting options allows flexible placement – with either horizontal or vertical cabinet orientation – in a variety of on-stage, monitoring, fill and delay applications.

Another hot product on display will be hard to find, but only because it’s so small: the MM-4 miniature wide-range loudspeaker. It fits in the palm of your hand, yet puts out more clear, natural sound that you’d think possible from a 4-inch cube. MM-4 is ideal for concealing on-stage, front-fill or delay use.

Other Meyer Sound products featured at USITT include the M1D ultra-compact curvilinear array and M1D-Sub ultra-compact subwoofer, the USW-1P compact subwoofer, and all associated QuickFly rigging hardware. The M1D has become the new standard on Broadway for a high-intelligibility, low profile center cluster.
