Bootsy Collins chooses HD-2 for His New Studio

When the king of psychedelic funk, Bootsy Collins, was looking for a main monitor for his Bootzilla Re-Hab Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, he decided upon the Meyer Sound HD-2 Mid-Field Reference Monitor. In addition to the HD-2s, the eclectic studio hosts an array of other high-end studio gear including an Amek Big 44 Channel Console, two 32 channel Mackie Boards, 32 tracks of Alesis Adat, 32 tracks of DA-88, an 8 track Akai hard disc, a 4 track Akai hard disc, as well as an array of vintage keyboards.

The always-busy Collins has just finished producing the latest Lucky Peterson album with Polygram France and has recently completed an October and November US Tour. Currently he is working on The Red Hot Chili Peppers remix, "Aeroplane", on Warner Brothers and he will be doing a remix of the group CPS in Germany in February. In addition, he is working on other projects with George Clinton, MTV, Phonogram, and Warner Brothers Germany. Collins is extremely pleased with his new HD-2s, saying "Funky Fan-tas-tic is what I have to say about the HD-2 speakers. The lows have punch and body you can feel. I love 'em *!*!"
