Latin Superstar Luis Miguel Tours with MSL-5s

Internationally renowned Latin singer Luis Miguel toured with a complete Meyer System, featuring the high-powered MSL-5 loudspeaker. Front-of-house mixer Alex Norbert was enormously pleased with the system. "I wouldn't trade this PA for anything else in the world. The sound from the MSL-5s is incredibly large, but also extremely smooth and controlled. I've never heard anything like it."

The main system for the tour consisted of three MSL-5s, six DS-2s and nine 650-R2s per side. For the downfill, the system included six MSL-3As per side and two MSL-2As were used on each side for the front fill of the system. Meyer's UM-1Cs were used as the stage monitors. Additionally, the Meyer SIM System II was used to align the system for each venue, as well as to serve as the system engineer's primary tool for monitoring and troubleshooting all of the tour's audio equipment.

The MSL-5 has been used in a number of other applications where large scale sound reinforcement is necessary. Most notably, the speakers were used at the historic "Encore! The Three Tenors Concert 1994" at Dodger Stadium, featuring superstars Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.
