- Kurt Schwenk
Director of Professional THX Operations for Lucasfilm THX

Meyer Sound is pleased to announce that its High Definition studio monitor, the HD-1, is THX approved for use in the new THX Certification Program, THX PM3, which includes multi-channel mixing and monitoring rooms.

"We are very pleased to be working with Meyer, a company recognized worldwide for its commitment to quality," said Kurt Schwenk, Director of Professional THX Operations for Lucasfilm THX. "We want to thank them for being one of the early adopters of our new THX PM3 program."

The award-winning HD-1 is the de facto industry standard in use by artists and studios like George Duke, Roger Nichols, Tuck & Patti, Rob Eaton, Walter Becker, Record Plant Remote, and Effanel Music. Released in 1989, the HD-1s earned a TEC award and continue to be an industry-defining presence. They are unsurpassed in their accuracy and definition.

Meyer Sound President, John Meyer says, "I'm very proud to have the HD-1s be a part of the THX roster of products. These monitors have technological innovations that still set the standard for this industry. We find ourselves referring back to them with almost every new product we develop. 'Does it sound as good as the HD-1s?'"
