"The Lion King" in Tokyo, Japan


Acoustic Technical Laboratory, Inc. announced that they recently supplied a Meyer Self-Powered Loudspeaker System for use in the theatrical performance of "The Lion King" in Tokyo, Japan. The popular production, run by the theatrical company, Shiki, incorporates 5-CQ-1s for the center cluster, 5-650-Ps and 3-USW-1Ps for mainfill, and 4-UPM-1s for under balcony fill.

Undertaking the installation in the 1,255-seat, three-story Spring Theater at "Shiki Gekijo" was the sound crew of Shiki. Since April, '99 "The Lion King" has also been showing simultaneously in a second theater of Shiki's in Osaka.
