After a seven-month and $70 million restoration, New York City's Radio City Music Hall celebrated its grand reopening with a gala on the evening of Monday, October 4, with world-renowned recording artist, Celine Dion. Providing the pro-audio equipment for the special event was Solotech of Montreal who utilized a system of 6 Meyer Sound MSL-6's and 3 MSL-2's per side with 6 650-P's ground stacked on the stage left and right. Completing the self-powered loudspeaker system were a total of 8 UPM-1P's and 4 UPA-1P's utilized as frontfill.

"The Meyer system used for the reopening on the fourth was great," said Daniel Rioux, sound manager for Solotech. "Celine demands the best and it's always, Meyer only."

A portion of the ticket proceeds for the Radio City Music Hall gala were donated to the Lustgarten Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Continuing the concert season lineup at the historic venue will be; Tony Bennet on October 6, Celine Dion on October 7, Bette Midler on October 25, 26, 28 and November 2, and the Eurythmics on November 9.
