Miguel Bose and Ana Torroja on their "Girados Mexican Tour"
Miguel Bose and Ana Torroja, two of the most important pop stars of Spain and widely popular in Latinamerica, toured Mexico from May 2nd to May 28th, 2000, for their "Girados Mexican Tour". Bose and Torroja performed at five of the largest venues in the most important Mexican cities for audiences ranging from 10,000 to 30,000. These were the Bombonera Soccer Stadium in Toluca, the Fundidora/Coca Cola Auditorium in Monterrey, the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, the Corregidora Soccer Stadium in Queretaro and the Bullfighting Plaza in Guadalajara. The all self-powered Meyer Sound system was provided by Procolor of Guadalajara, one of the largest sound rental companies in Mexico. The system consisted of a left/right FOH system with a total of (6) MSL-6, (36) MSL-4, (12) PSW-2, (20) 650-P subwoofers, and (4) PSM-2 stage monitors. Touring with Procolor and the Bose production were Javier Barba, owner and general director of Procolor; Everardo Meza and Jose Mendoza, PA techs for Procolor; Eduardo Sandoval, certified SIM Engineer and Systems Engineer for Procolor and Fernando Diaz, FOH Engineer for Miguel Bose. "The (MSL-6's) throw and clarity were very impressive, with less cabinets you can achieve the same SPL," says Fernando Diaz. "This was the first time we didn't have to use delay towers at the Fundidora," comments Eduardo Sandoval. October, 2000 |
