Smooth Coverage at Swiss Festival
A total of twenty-four M3D cabinets were used for the Paléo Festival's main stage, and eight M3Ds and eight M3D-Subs with four MSL-4s for infill were used at a smaller stage. Meyer Sound's RMS Remote Monitoring System was used to provide continual information on the main M3D system during performances. A total of twenty-four M3D cabinets were used for the festival's main stage, "La Grande Scène", which entertains crowds of 30,000 people. Twelve M3Ds were used per side, with sixteen M3D-Sub Directional subwoofers, a central cluster of four M2D Compact Curvilinear Array loudspeakers and two delay clusters of four M2Ds each. Meyer Sound's RMS Remote Monitoring System was used to provide continual information on the main M3D system during performances. A smaller stage, "Le Chapiteau" — which can accommodate 5,000 people — had a system of eight M3Ds and eight M3D-Subs with four MSL-4s for infill. "Le Dôme", a colorful big top dedicated to world music and extending a daily welcome to traveling artists arriving from every corner of the planet, featured a system of sixteen M3Ds with four M2D-Sub Compact subwoofers and six 650-P High-Power subwoofers on the ground with two CQ-1 Wide Coverage Main loudspeakers for infill. Among the artists performing at the six-day event were The Cure, James Brown, Supertramp, MC Solaar, Zucchero, Jane Birkin, De la Soul, Bordeaux band Noir DZ'sir and Buena Vista Social Club collaborators Césaria Evoria and Omara Portuondo.
