Meyer Sound Enjoys Awards Recognition

After finishing 2003 by receiving a Pro Audio Review Reviewers Pick award for the M2D compact curvilinear array, and the Best Sound Reinforcement Product award for the M3D line array loudspeaker at Madrid, Spain's Producción Profesional & Producción Audio Awards, the company has kept the trend rolling right into 2004, its 25th anniversary year.

So far this year, Meyer Sound has accepted an EDDY award from Entertainment Design magazine for the UPJ-1P compact VariO loudspeaker, and an InfoComm 2004 Pick Hit award from Sound & Video Contractor magazine for the SIM 3 audio analyzer system. The MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker is also garnering accolades, having won a MIPA award at the 2004 Pro Sound & Lighting exposition in Frankfurt, Germany, and been nominated for a TEC (Technical Excellence and Creativity) award. If MILO wins, Meyer Sound will be finding space for its fifth TEC award. (TEC awards ballots will appear in an upcoming issue of Mix magazine.)

"We have always approached our products from the point of view of what the market needs," explains Helen Meyer, Meyer Sound's executive vice president, "and it is gratifying to have the market respond by not only buying them, but also recognizing them with awards."
