Marquee Audio Adds to Reputation with Meyer Sound Association

“Meyer Sound continually seeks to develop and refine its technology, much in keeping with our own company ethos. Add to this impeccable production standards and a great supply chain, and you’ve got a winning combination – one we expect to continue for quite some time.”

— Andy Huffer, Marquee Audio Sales Director

Considering that the company is headquartered at the famed Shepperton Film Studios, and that the founder has family ties to London’s legendary Marquee Club, it’s no surprise that Marquee Audio is associated with the very best in sound – live or recorded. That reputation has been further enhanced by the company’s recent appointment as an authorized dealer for Meyer Sound’s line of self-powered loudspeakers.

Marquee Audio is well known throughout the United Kingdom as a top-shelf professional equipment sales and systems integration provider. In the latter capacity, Marquee had specified Meyer Sound products on several past occasions. “Whenever we’ve thought it appropriate, Meyer Sound has been selected for its superior performance and premier market position,” says company sales director Andy Huffer. “We’re very happy that we’ve now become an authorized dealer, which further strengthens our relationship with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of professional audio systems.”

Marquee Audio was founded in 1988 by Spencer Brooks, and the company has grown steadily to become a formidable force in providing state-of-the-art systems for recording studios, performing arts venues, and upscale sports and entertainment establishments of all kinds. Among its many projects, Marquee Audio outfitted the Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts, and also served as a primary system provider for the awesome Millennium Dome. Recent installations involving Meyer Sound include the Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse (M1D ultra-compact curvilinear arrays) and the Derby Assembly Rooms (M1D arrays, CQ-1 wide coverage main loudspeakers, and 650-P high power subwoofers).

“Meyer Sound continually seeks to develop and refine its technology, much in keeping with our own company ethos,” comments Huffer. “Add to this impeccable production standards and a great supply chain, and you’ve got a winning combination – one we expect to continue for quite some time.”

In past years, Marquee has found great success in introducing new technology to the marketplace, and has earned sales awards from a number of companies, including JBL, Sennheiser and Yamaha. Marquee offers comprehensive consultancy, design, integration, commissioning and support services, with a commitment to quality management reflected in the company’s recent ISO 9001 certification. Marquee Audio currently has 12 employees, and a scope of operations covering the island “from Brighton to Glasgow.”
