Meyer Sound Features New Products and Strong Presence at AESWith the upcoming 121st Audio Engineering Society convention (October 5-8) being held in Meyer Sound's San Francisco Bay Area home territory, the company will give attendees much to think about, including new products, participation in papers, Live Sound Events, and Special Events, the company's 24th TEC Award nomination, this time for the MICA compact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker, a Technical Tour of the Meyer Sound factory and much more. When the exhibits open on Friday, October 6, booth 310 will command the spotlight as Meyer Sound unveils a significant advance that will improve the sonic experience, both for those presenting and those experiencing live events. This year's AES will show the company continuing to stay far out in front of the crowd with its thinking and technology. ![]() M'elodie: UltraCompact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker For all its accolades, M'elodie will be sharing the spotlight at AES with MICA as it vies to win a Technical Excellence and Creativity Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement, Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker Technology. A win for MICA would give the company its sixth TEC award (MILO won in 2004). The AES has been focusing a lot of attention on sound reinforcement in the last year, and Meyer Sound is well represented in the convention's Live Sound Events track. Meyer Sound is sponsoring the audio in nearly all of the AES seminar and papers rooms, as well as sponsoring the sound system for the TEC Awards ceremony, as it has many times before. AES 2006
