With a faceplate of a mere four inches square, Meyer Sound's new MM-4XP self-powered miniature loudspeaker will be a prime focus at the 2008 Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), with its ability to satisfy AV professionals dealing with space and sightline limitations. The MM-4XP is only one of many innovative solutions that Meyer Sound offers for the installation market. In addition to easy-to-use self-powered loudspeakers, Meyer Sound will also demonstrate the most powerful and robust software tools for creating high-performance integrated audio systems.

MM-4XP
Self-Powered
Miniature Loudspeaker

The MM-4XP loudspeaker is surprisingly dainty, yet produces peak output of 113 dB SPL across an operating frequency range of 120 Hz – 18 kHz. It is ideal for stage lip frontfill, fill and spot coverage, installation in steps and other hidden locations, as well as small portable systems. It can be custom painted to match specific color schemes. MM-4XP is the self-powered version of the highly popular MM-4 loudspeaker, which is installed in Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa which is also one of the most visited tourist attractions in Iceland.

Not to be "overshadowed" by its miniature cousin, the UPJunior ultracompact VariO loudspeaker, UMS-1P ultracompact subwoofer, as well as the award-winning M'elodie ultracompact curvilinear array loudspeaker will also be featured on the Meyer Sound booth. Since its release, M'elodie has been installed in prestigious live performance venues around the world including Netherlands' Vrijthof Theatre, London's Royal Festival Hall, Denmark's Aarhus Theatre and Austria's Festung Kufstein. With Meyer Sound's ingeniously simple and flexible Quickfly rigging, M'elodie is also popular in corporate AV applications and has been used on sold-out tours with Metallica, Prince and Rod Stewart.

Matrix3
Audio Show Control System
Loudspeakers are just one component of Meyer Sound's larger picture of integrated systems. Also featured on the booth are hands-on demonstrations of the company's advanced software technologies including MAPP Online Pro acoustical prediction program and the Galileo loudspeaker management system equipped with Compass control software, as well as the LCS Series Matrix3 audio show control system with SpaceMap multichannel panning software and Wild Tracks hard disk playback. Matrix3 is a major component of the sound systems in various Cirque du Soleil® productions, including The Beatles® LOVE™, KÀ™, ZUMANITY, Delirium™, and more.

All Meyer Sound products, including basic components such as drivers and circuit boards, are designed and manufactured at the company's facilities in Berkeley, Calif., USA.
