Meyer Sound Names John McMahon to Executive Director Position

Meyer Sound has announced the appointment of John McMahon to the newly-created position of Executive Director of Digital Products. McMahon's new position reflects Meyer Sound's continually expanding commitment to the development and integration of its acclaimed digital products, which have become an integral part of Broadway and West End productions, the highly celebrated shows of Cirque du Soleil®, as well as major festivals, tours, and events.

In his new role, McMahon will oversee the strategic direction of marketing, sales, and research and development of Meyer Sound's key digital signal processing technologies, including Galileo loudspeaker management system, Matrix3 audio show control, Constellation electroacoustic architecture, as well as all related hardware and software development.

"John has been an integral part of defining and developing the strategic direction of Meyer Sound's new generation of digital technologies, as well as maintaining a consistency in integrating those new technologies with our existing products," said John Meyer, Meyer Sound CEO and Co-Founder. "His new position will enable him to work even more closely with the company's team leaders to firmly establish Meyer Sound's position as a leader in digital audio technologies worldwide."

McMahon will split his time between Meyer Sound's Berkeley headquarters and the company's offices in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. He will continue to be a strong presence at key trade shows and presentations worldwide, and will keep in close contact with Meyer Sound's customer base.

In related news, Teri McLennan has been promoted to Business Operations Manager at Meyer Sound Canada. McLennan will be taking on many of the day-to-day operations responsibilities that McMahon has been handling up until now.
