Garden Party
At PLASA 2008, the Meyer Sound stand (G17) will showcase the company's award-winning solutions designed to support a full spectrum of applications, from the largest arena tours to installations in intimate restaurants. Show attendees will have a look at the new UPQ-1P wide coverage loudspeaker, along with other popular Meyer Sound products, while meeting company personnel in a relaxed atmosphere highlighted by a "summer garden party" at the stand at 4:00 PM on Monday, September 8. Welcoming visitors with Pimm's and lemonade, as well as other bubbly beverages, Meyer Sound continues its long-standing tradition as one of the most enjoyable destinations to lounge at PLASA.

The UPQ-1P Wide Coverage Loudspeaker
UPQ-1P
Wide Coverage Loudspeaker
A new addition to the famed UltraSeries, the UPQ-1P exhibits high power (136 dB peak SPL at 1m), extremely low distortion, and a wide coverage pattern of 80-degrees by 50-degrees. The UPQ-1P has already been widely embraced by installed sound professionals, with an order of 48 units going to Westfalen Sound for one of its corporate accounts and being used at the IAA Commercial Vehicles convention. The UPQ-1P has also been selected as part of the audio upgrade for the acclaimed Phantom of the Opera production on the West End. UltraSeries models on display at the PLASA stand will range from the new UPQ-1P to the venerable UPA-1P, as well as the ultra-compact UPJunior VariO loudspeaker.

Self-Powered Miniature
Loudspeaker
Available in custom colors!
To emphasize its versatility in high-end installations such as restaurants and clubs, the self-powered MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker will be shown in a variety of custom colors. The potent yet petite M'elodie line array loudspeaker will lead off Meyer Sound's expanded offering of line array products. Only 29.5" long and weighing a mere 62 lbs, M'elodie has made its mark across a gamut of applications, including corporate AV, houses of worship, musical theatre, and in down- or side-fill arrays for touring systems based on the MILO line array loudspeaker.

At the stand's dedicated technical area, the "Tech Bar," Meyer Sound support personnel are available to offer guidance and provide in-depth answers to any technical or design questions. Here, audio professionals can also experience first-hand the power and flexibility of Meyer Sound's computer- and DSP-based technologies for acoustical prediction, system alignment, and audio analysis.

Whether you are looking to collect product information, delve into the latest software, or just enjoy a drink and a casual chat, the Meyer Sound stand is the place to be at PLASA 2008.
