FLASHBACK | Stevie Wonder and John Meyer

In spite of what Bananarama, spiral perms, and Tab soda might suggest in hindsight, there were some incredible things that happened in the early 1980s. Look no further for proof than this week's vintage photograph of John Meyer with the incomparable Stevie Wonder. Around 1983, Meyer Sound sold a pair of 833s to Wonder, and this photo captures a moment during the trip Meyer took down to his studio to explain the technology in person. Wonder has remained a fan of Meyer Sound, and has since purchased X-10s, in addition to having toured with our monitors. (Fun fact: The invoice for the sale was made out to "Stevland Morris," Wonder's real name!)
