From L to R: Tony Villarreal, owner; Gary Snyder, business development manager; and Paul Owen, vice president.

Thunder Audio, winner of the 2009 TEC Award for the Robert Plant & Alison Krauss tour, recently celebrated 30 great years and the opening of its new facility in Livonia, Mich. A who's-who of promoters, managers, and engineers rubbed shoulders and experienced the Meyer Sound JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker in the company's new demo room.

In 2004, Paul Owen, Thunder's VP, encouraged company founder, Tony Villarreal, to invest in Meyer Sound's MILO line arrays. Since then, Thunder Audio has soared to become a major sound supplier for the biggest concerts and tours, including Metallica, Dolly Parton, Robert Plant, Slipknot, and Tyler Perry.
