High-resolution audio, ultra-compact and low-voltage installation solutions will be the focus of Meyer Sound's offerings at this year's ISE in Amsterdam. Visitors to stand 1F120 will be the very first to see a new series of loudspeakers designed to provide vocal intelligibility in highly reverberant environments. Also shown will be the latest products in Meyer Sound's expanding line of compact and easy-to-install self-powered loudspeakers, which are featured in such cultural landmarks as the local Hermitage Amsterdam and Vrijthof Theatre, London's Royal Albert Hall, Denmark's Aarhus Theatre, and Germany's Berliner Philharmonie.

Affording remarkable audio clarity in low-profile enclosures, Meyer Sound's self-powered low-voltage systems are specified by system integrators around the world. The UP-4XP ultracompact loudspeaker, the MM-4XPD directional miniature loudspeaker, the MM-10 miniature subwoofer, and the MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker are just a few examples that will be on display. All four loudspeakers can be connected to the MPS-488 power supply, a remote rack-mount unit that supplies 48V DC power and balanced audio over a single cable using one 5-pin connector. This unique approach preserves the sonic advantages of self-powered systems while at the same time enabling simplified, low-cost installation. Custom colors and flushmount options keep these loudspeakers out of sight where visibility is concerned. Optimization tools like the MAPP Online Pro acoustical prediction program and RMS remote monitoring system ensure seamless, predictable system performance. In addition, booth visitors are welcome to discuss with company staff how Meyer Sound's Cinema Experience series and Constellation acoustic system can be applied to transform the listening experience for an audience.

If you've heard that the adoption of Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) standard is critical to the AV installation market but aren't sure how it relates to your company, then attending the AVnu Alliance panel on Tuesday, February 2, 16:00 at the ISE Theatre in Hall 11, should be on your list. John McMahon, Meyer Sound's executive director of Digital Products, will join Broadcom, Harman, Avid, and other leading AV heavyweights on a panel focusing on the adoption of AVB for universal distribution of high-resolution digital audio and video signals and the newly formed AVnu Alliance.

"By leveraging the ubiquity of mainstream Ethernet and fully supporting it today, we have an open, non-proprietary standard that benefits both end-users and hardware manufacturers," says McMahon. "Working with our AVnu Alliance partners, we are assured that AVB will be both inexpensive to implement and accessible at all levels of the professional AV industry. I encourage everyone involved in AV to attend this discussion."

D-Mitri digital audio platform, Meyer Sound's first AVB compliant product will begin shipping in spring 2010. Based on Gigabit Ethernet, D-Mitri is a multichannel digital audio processing and distribution platform that affords seamlessly integrated show control in a true networked environment.
