PALME Middle East 2010
Dubai International Exhibition Centre
Dubai, United Arab Emirates

April 18-20, 2010
Stand 3C20

At Dubai's PALME Middle East 2010, all eyes will be on Meyer Sound's new MINA line array loudspeaker. MINA is the smallest addition to the MILO family of loudspeakers, and is ideal for live sound and installation applications with size and weight limitations. Also showcased will be two new Meyer Sound systems that leverage the emerging AVB audio/video bridging networking technology: the CAL column array loudspeaker and D-Mitri digital audio platform.

Enthusiastically received at its recent launch at ProLight + Sound, MINA shares the same exceptional musicality and intelligibility as the MILO, MICA, and M'elodie line array loudspeakers. At less than 472 mm wide and only 21.32 kg, MINA produces up to 128 dB SPL at one meter with an operating frequency range of 70 Hz to 18 kHz over a 100-degree horizontal coverage area. MINA can serve as the main system in smaller theatres, ballrooms, and houses of worship, and as fill subsystems for MICA and M'elodie.

Visitors to the Meyer Sound booth can learn about the AVB networking technology as implemented in the CAL steerable column array loudspeakers and the D-Mitri digital audio platform. D-Mitri is the next-generation network-based system that affords seamlessly integrated show control. The CAL loudspeakers bring unprecedented vertical coverage control and exceptional intelligibility in highly reverberant environments. As part of PALME Middle East's audio education program, Jerry Placken, Meyer Sound's LCS Series sales manager, will be giving a seminar on CAL and its beam steering technology at 14:00 on April 20.

Other products including the JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker and the four-inch-square MM-4XP loudspeaker will also be shown.

To hear Meyer Sound systems in action, show visitors can make a short trip to the auditorium at The Palladium and Meydan, the largest racecourse in the world with a capacity of 60,000.
