Meyer Sound MINA Wins 2011 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Award
| ||||
Meyer Sound's MINA line array loudspeaker has been named a winner of the 2011 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Award. Selected by industry voters, the award winners were revealed at a ceremony during the annual InfoComm Expo (June 15-17) in Orlando, Fla. Two projects featuring Meyer Sound systems were also recognized at InfoComm in the 2011 PRO AV Spotlight Awards. Toronto's TIFF Bell Lightbox, installed by Westbury National Show Systems and featuring an EXP cinema sound system, was named a winner of the PRO AV Award in the Best Entertainment AV Project category. The first outdoor installation of the Constellation acoustic system, the New World Center in Miami, won the Best Arts AV Project award. Installation was handled by Pro Sound and Video. The latest and smallest addition to the Meyer Sound MILO family of line array loudspeakers, MINA has been installed in the Tupelo Music Hall in White River Junction, Vt. and has been heard on tour with Nashville-based Christian rock band Big Daddy Weave. MINA is less than 18.5 inches wide, and produces up to 128 dB SPL at one meter. Its operating frequency ranges from 75 Hz to 18 kHz over a wide 100-degree horizontal coverage area. MINA's power-to-size ratio and sonic clarity make it ideal for applications that include small theatres, houses of worship, theme parks, and serving as a fill loudspeaker for M'elodie and MICA systems.
