At the First xSolutions Exhibition in London, Meyer Sound Leads Future of Audio Integration
| ||||
Meyer Sound will exhibit its comprehensive audio system solutions at the inaugural xSolutions show in London on October 19-20, amongst an exhibitor lineup that includes AMX, NEC, Crestron, Canon, and Sennheiser. Stop by the Meyer Sound stand D5 to see firsthand the D-Mitri digital audio platform, CAL column array loudspeaker, and a number of self-powered, low-voltage loudspeaker solutions that are heard in commercial and live sound environments such as the Elgar Room at London's Royal Albert Hall, World Duty Free shops at Heathrow Terminal 5, and more. "The industry has come a long way to this point where high-performance equipment is now available to tackle traditionally challenging spaces and turn them into pristine audio environments without compromise," says Roger Harpum, Meyer Sound's UK sales manager. "It is an exciting time and we look forward to supporting designers, integrators, and operators in their effort to provide the best experience to the listener." As part of the xSolutions technology conference, Meyer Sound's Jerry Placken, worldwide sales manager for digital products, will host a seminar on "AVB: The Future of Standards-based A/V Networking" on October 19 at 11:00. Placken will explore the role of the IEEE AVB standards in the industrial installation market. The AVB-capable D-Mitri is a fully integrated network that encompasses digital mixing and matrixing capabilities, sophisticated DSP functions, recording and playback, and integrated show control. Audio performance is impeccable, with 96 kHz/24-bit conversion and up to 64-bit floating point internal processing. D-Mitri was recently used to drive the Autosymphonic concert in Mannheim, Germany, as well as at the IAA show floor in Frankfurt, where the Audi urban concept car was unveiled. Meyer Sound's CAL series of column array loudspeakers, also AVB-capable, will be shown alongside a unique line of self-powered, low-voltage loudspeakers that can be integrated into either networked or conventional installation. By using a remote DC power supply and signal distribution unit, Meyer Sound low-voltage solutions combine the inherent sonic superiority of self-powered systems with the cost efficiencies of low-voltage installation. These systems include the MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker, UP-4XP ultra-compact loudspeaker, and the MM-10 miniature subwoofer. Meyer Sound's complete solutions also include the Constellation acoustic system, prediction and monitoring software, and EXP cinema sound systems, as well as a range of large-format concert loudspeaker systems. A number of other noteworthy Meyer Sound installations are located in the proximity of the xSolutions show, such as the Abercrombie & Fitch flagship store in the Mayfair district, De Lane Lea post-production facilities in Soho, and Stadium MK in Milton Keynes, about 50 miles northwest of London. xSolutions October, 2011 |
