John Meyer Receives Silver Medal Award from the Audio Engineering Society

John Meyer, CEO and co-founder of Meyer Sound Laboratories, was honored with the Audio Engineering Society's Silver Medal Award at this year's AES Convention in New York City. The award was given in recognition of Meyer's "outstanding achievement in source independent measurement of public address systems and the advancement of quality in sound reinforcement."

Meyer Sound M'elodie Nominated for a 2007 TEC Award

Meyer Sound's M'elodie ultracompact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker, the newest and smallest member of the MILO family of loudspeakers, has been nominated for a 2007 Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement, Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker Technology. The nomination is the company's 25th in the TEC Awards' 23-year history, and the fourth MILO family member to be nominated. (The others were the MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker in 2004, MILO 120 high-power expanded coverage curvilinear array loudspeaker in 2005, and MICA compact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker in 2006.)

The 8th annual Musikmesse International Press Awards (mipa) ceremony once again lauded Meyer Sound's MILO family of high-power curvilinear array loudspeakers when it bestowed a mipa Award for Large Format PA System on the M'elodie ultracompact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker. Meyer Sound Matrix3 Helps Lake of Dreams Win ARCHI-TECH Award

Like most things Steve Wynn does in Las Vegas, the Lake of Dreams production at his eponymous Wynn Hotel is "a spectacular." Lake of Dreams is an environmental theater that uses a wide man-made waterfall as the backdrop for a nightly performance of light, water, music, and computer graphic imagery. While crowds first notice the elaborate visuals, the show's sound is no less complex. Meyer Sound MICA Wins Mipa Award at Pro Light + Sound

Meyer Sound's MICA compact high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker received a Muskemesse International Press Award (mipa) as the best Large Format PA-System at the recently concluded Frankfurt Musikmesse/Pro Light + Sound exhibition. The award is Meyer Sound's second mipa, having received one in the same category in 2004 for the MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker. MILO TEC Award Caps Strong Meyer Sound Showing at AES

Meyer Sound celebrated its 25th anniversary in style at the117th Audio Engineering Society (AES) convention held in San Francisco in October. After a banner year of increased sales and well-received new products, the company rolled into the convention with a powerful presence for the AES's first San Francisco convention in six years and walked out of it with its fifth TEC (Technical Excellence and Creativity) award, awarded to the MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeaker for being best in Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker Technology at the 20th annual awards show.
