CueStation Release Notes
Version Release 4.6.1 - January 30, 2008 - Code Date: January 2, 2008
CueStation 4.6.1 is a maintanence release which contains updates and improvements made since CueStation 4.6.0. As with all new CueStation software and firmware releases, we strive to improve reliability, speed, and ease of use.
- The CueStation installer program now works in Mac OS 10.4.11 and 10.5. (4840)
- VirtualLX is stable in OS X 10.5 (Leopard). (4814)
- The Transport window has a new display option: Enable Transport Controls. When disabled, the transport controls and active cue list are visible, but unresponsive. (4738)
- Time code is now resynchronized immediately after a time code stop is detected. (4872)
- A received time code value is only processed if all quarter-frame messages are received in the correct (sequential) order. This reduces processing of incorrect time code values. (4863)
- The Wild Tracks process no longer receives sysex messages that do not relate to Wild Tracks control points. (4897)
- Wild Tracks now contains an updated version of libsndfile, which has improved support for WAV files. (4796)
- When Wild Tracks playback is locked to time code, the playback will only be resynchronized if at least three time code values in a row have more than a two second difference from the expected value. (4837)
- The Wild Tracks window now responds to page group controls. Each Unit is a column, and each Deck is a row. (4877)
- The "random" function in a batch file will now clear its audio buffers before playback is restarted. (4761)
- The "Resynchronizing time code playback" log message now includes the current time code value. (4865)
- A sysex parse error which generates the "While waiting for Status, got 0x22" log message will also generate log messages with the most recent bytes received. (4860)
- Firmware mismatch warnings now use one log entry each, instead of three. (4847)
- Right-clicking on a log entry will no longer move the entry to a new position in the list. (4754)
- Dragging an audio file into the Subcue Library no longer generates error messages in the log. (4827)
- Deleting entries in an external type subcue will no longer cause CueStation to crash. (4831)
- The templates folder is now included in the lxelcd gzip archive file. (4859)
- The "Open Project from Flash" function has been improved to reduce checksum errors. (4815)
- lxcaslemu no longer crashes in VirtualLX in Windows XP. (4829)
- In Windows XP, the CueStation version and icon now appear correctly in the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel. (4830)
- Fixed several instances of dark text display in the Dark color scheme. (4739)
- Duplicating a SpaceMap no longer results in SpaceMap #0 being renamed. (4779)
- SpaceMap creation and duplication is now enabled after clearing a project. (4746)
- In Linux clients, the System Status window no longer uses all available CPU. (4810)
- Automation items that are part of a cue that changes the cue list are not cleared from the scheduler. (4787)
- OSC mappings to a range of objects can now include page group assignments in the same line. (4879)
- The MSC "Go Cue" external now has a Cue List Player ID. (4757)
Version Release 4.6.0 - October 2, 2007 - Code Date: September 18, 2007
CueStation 4.6.0 is a major new release which includes multiple cue lists, a light-on-dark color scheme, and a redesigned SpaceMap window, in addition to many other updates and improvements to audio processing, automation, and the user interface.
Notable Changes:
Automation
- Cues and subcues now have a "Modification Time" associated with them, which shows the last time the cue or subcue was edited. (4167)
- CueStation now supports multiple active cue lists in the Transport window, including separate transport controls for each active cue list. (2727)
- Each cue list player in the Transport window has a separate "Time Code" button to enable or disable time code processing. The Mixer menu now has a "Time Code Processing Enabled" item which controls time code processing globally. (3985)
- In consideration of projects with multiple active cue lists, the behavior of the "Stop" button in the Transport window has changed. The "Stop" button in each cue list player only stops automation initiated by its associated cue list, including Wild Tracks Decks. There is also a "Master Stop" button which stops all automation, regardless of origin. (3953)
- Subcue types and control point sets can now be disabled or enabled. Disabled subcue types will not appear in the subcue selection list in the Capture window. (3954)
- Subcues recalled by Digital Logic Inputs or MIDI are now reported in the log. (4316)
- The "Set Selected Subcue Types" external has been modified to allow more refined control over the Capture window. (4086)
- The Capture window now has a "Share Existing Subcues" button, which determines whether pre-existing subcues will be used in the cue, or new subcues will be created. (4538)
- The Edit menu has two new items: "Individualize Shared Subcues", which makes every subcue referenced by a cue unique, and "Optimize Duplicate Subcues", which removes identical copies of referenced subcues, such that cues that referenced different copies of the same subcue would then share references to the same subcue. (328)
- The Matrix3 can now send and receive MSC messages. (2612)
- There are two new control points which reflect the state of the hardware Relays and DLIs: Frame LowLevel Output and Frame LowLevel Input, respectively. (4445)
- When creating new cues or subcues, CueStation will no longer re-use ID numbers used by deleted cues or subcues. This makes it easier to find newly created items when sorting by ID, and reduces the chance of unexpected behavior for ID references in externals or Wild Tracks Decks. ID recycling will only be used after ID 16383. (3931)
- In some cases, some DSPs in a multi-processor system would get out of sync with other DSPs. This has been fixed. (4467)
- In some rare cases, adding a Mixer Settings subcue to a cue would affect the most recently captured Wild Tracks subcue. This has been fixed. (4236)
- Subcue type names can now include ampersands. (4074)
- The "Refs" value for cues and subcues now includes references in Wild Tracks Deck subcues. (4095)
- The "Select Cue List" external can now accept cue list IDs up to 16383, instead of being limited to 256. (3987)

- The state of mapped controls on the Lemur are now updated after the server sends the project file. (4541)
- The Unmap option in the Map OSC Commands external subcue now affects control point-to-control point mappings as well. (4216)
Network and Servers
- From a command line interface, you can now specify a list of allowed client IPs that can connect to VirtualLX or lxelcd. (4391)
- The VirtualLX executable can be renamed to include the IP address of a Matrix3, to which VirtualLX will automatically connect when it is launched. (4389)
- VirtualLX now has a "private" mode enabled by default, which only allows connections from a CueStation client running on the same computer (127.0.0.1). (3365)
- The default Matrix3 web page now has updated contact information for Meyer Sound. (4326)
- Re-selecting the same option in the "Connect to LX-300 via" menu no longer causes VirtualLX to reset. (4469)

KNOWN ISSUES
- When pasting data into a mixer window using Cmd+V, the data is pasted into all selected channels.
- Control name aliases created by the "Set OSC Control Name Aliases" external are not translated properly into control addresses. (4660)
- Aux Pre/Post settings are not copied during a right-click-drag operation in the Inputs window. (4670)
- In Windows XP and Linux, if you right-click on the CueStation icon in the task bar and select "Quit", the "Are you sure you want to quit?" dialog box does not appear, and all CueStation windows are closed. (4053)
- In Mac OS X, the "Choose Files..." dialog box can sometimes be very slow to respond. (4373)
- When many CueStation windows are open, switching to or from Dark mode can cause CueStation to hang. (4408)
- CueStation windows with many controls may be slow to appear on older computers running OS X. (3801)
- When an "Update Cue" external is recalled, the resulting log message sometimes appears twice. (4195)
- If a "Recall Cue" or "Recall Subcue" entry in a Wild Tracks Deck has no ID number associated with it, the reference count for ID 0 is increased by 1. (4095)
- When using Wild Tracks offline, a blank "Recall Cue" entry is labeled "Recall Cue #0" in the timeline. A blank "Recall Subcue" entry is labeled "Recall Subcue #0". (4352)
