MAPP Online Bug Reports

BUG: v0.0 and up. Users whose Windows Locale is set to Turkey get the error "Unable to launch MAPPOnline" with details of "Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system." This is a bug officially recognized by Java. Turkish maps two ASCII characters ("i" and "I") differently than all other languages. Java Web Start calls the function String.toLowerCase on the certificate, and this causes the error that you see.

WORK AROUND: Set the Windows Locale to anything other than Turkey. This will probably need a restart of the computer. We apologize for how inconvenient this is, and we are investigating a better solution.

BUG: v1.2.30 and up: Resizing the application so small that no components will fit causes the app to blank out and hang.

WORK AROUND: Do not resize the application so small that none of the components will fit.

BUG: v1.2.129 and up: Delete and Escape short cut keys do not always work.

WORK AROUND: Click on the edit menu, once the edit menu has been clicked on at least once, the delete and escape short cut keys will work. We are working on this problem.
