UPA-1P & 2P and USW-1P Customized Input Module Options

Since their introduction, the UPA-P speakers have gained a reputation for their compact and lightweight design, surprisingly high SPL capability, and superior sonic quality.

One of the most popular features is the removable input modules. The UPA-1P and UPA-2P are offered with the choice of three, customized input panels which greatly enhance the flexibility of these already versatile speakers.

The specialized input configurations allow you to select which input configuration best suits your needs.

The modules are easily installed, making quick work of reconfiguring the UPA-Ps and USW-1Ps. This is a tangible advantage for sound companies faced with last minute changes to a system.

Standard Looping Module

The standard input panel (fig. 1) is a "looping module" which provides looping male and female three-pin XLR-style signal connectors with 24 VDC output for an external cooling fan option and indicator LEDs for power/ over temperature and high/low limit.

Volume Control/Polarity Module

An enhanced looping panel, the "VC/Polarity module," (fig 2) features the two XLR connectors, along with polarity switching (which does not affect the looping signal) and a rotary input attenuation control (0 dB to -12 dB range).

Summing Module

The "summing module" (fig. 3) replaces the male looping connector with a second female input connector; this version is used where hard-wired summing is desired (for example, to make a derived center channel or mono fill channel).

The summing module is particularly useful when using a single USW-1P subwoofer with a stereo pair of UPA-Ps.
