GALILEO OPERATING SYSTEM MEMORY PARTITION AREAS 1 & 2April 14, 2010Galileo has two memory locations in it's operating system that store firmware. When upgrading firmware, the new file is loaded into the memory location not currently in use. This allows storage of two versions of Galileo firmware, and the ability to switch which version is in use, should a problem be encountered when upgrading firmware. Identify the current flash drive area in use If the lower right hand corner of the front panel screen shows a single pixel, then the unit is operating from Area 1. If the lower right hand corner of the front panel screen shows a two pixels side-by-side, then the unit is operating from Area 2. From the front panel of the Galileo 616, go to the About window: Galileo Map > System Settings > About
